Each shell as each snaredrum is manufactured with exclusive attention and care using handcrafting techniques only. Our technique is the "stave" design, obtained by joining several pieces of solid wood, and turning the rough shell. With this process, the shell's grain faces vertically and is the most efficient possible when transmitting the head's vibrations.
The sound emitted by these shells is powerful and extremely rich in harmonics each time and it has that typical "taste" of wood that only a shell completely free to vibrate can give. Each instrument is unique and has its own particular characteristics, precisely because the shell's role is not to only "contain air and hold the heads" but to, finally, become an actor and, in turn, the "generator of sound", in some way.
